Chord Melody Workshop - Blue Christmas

In this workshop you will learn a beautiful chord melody arrangement of "Blue Christmas" that fits seamlessly over the chords learned in the workshop "Blue Christmas: Playing Ballads With Confidence". You do not need to have taken that workshop to enjoy this one.
This arrangement is versatile and I will demonstrate how you can use it in many ways: using a few bars of it as a rubato introduction to a sung arrangement, and/or incorporating some or all of it into an instrumental solo in the middle of a sung performance. For an example of this, see the video below where I do this around the 1 minute mark.
Level: intermediate and up. You should be comfortable with barre chords and four-note voicings. This arrangement goes beyond the fifth fret. All chord diagrams as well as tablature will be provided on handouts. You will also receive a high quality backing track that you can practice with.
Enrolment limited to 20 students: enrolment is capped so that I can spend more time providing individual feedback and guidance as needed.
Tuning: we will use GCEA tuning - both low G or high G welcome.
This workshop will be delivered online via Zoom.
Note: you will receive workshop handouts and high quality backing tracks for practice closer to the workshop date. This workshop will be recorded and you'll be able to stream a replay for up to 3 weeks afterwards so you can go over anything you found tricky in class.

Cancellation policy: Because class sizes are strictly capped, we are unable to issue refunds for missed workshops. However, you will have access to a high-quality video replay for three weeks after the session, giving you plenty of time to catch up at your own pace!
