In this 90 minute repertoire workshop, I’ll teach you an arrangement of “Route 66” made famous by Nat King Cole. This jazz blues builds on the classic 3-chord blues by adding some transition chords. We’ll focus in particular on rhythmic techniques such as slides and stop-time, which help achieve the authentic sound and swing for this song.

Level: Intermediate & up. Chord diagrams will be provided on handouts.
